Applied Expeditions Ltd is a specialist company who facilitate and manage the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition section for Schools, groups or Operating Authorities. We offer bespoke and standard packages to pre-train, practice and qualify teams at all three levels, bronze, silver and gold. Our aim is to provide a “hassle free, one stop shop” for the expedition section.
We also offer open expeditions for individuals or small groups.
Applied Expeditions currently offer methods of travel by foot, open canoe and cycle.
All our staff are National Governing Body qualified. Walking expeditions will be supervised by Walking Group Leaders at Bronze and Silver. Gold Expeditions will be supervised by Mountain Leaders. Canoe expeditions are supervised by Level 2 coaches for Bronze and Silver. Gold Canoe Expeditions are supervised by Level 3 coaches. Our staff have been trained in remote supervision and most will have completed the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Supervisor Course.
All of our internal assessors are nationally accredited by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Our qualifying ventures all meet the 20 conditions laid down by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
